Michael McKnight

Michael McKnight has been singing Gospel music for over 40 years. Born in a Christian, musical family, rhyme and melody came easy to the Baton Rouge, LA. native. Soon after his conversion he was sharing his musical gifts with audiences all over the south. Michael is married to Gina(over 30 years) has two daughters(Lydia-24 and Sara-22), one dog(Sasha) and a passion for the free grace of God. He now resides in Laurel, MS where he is Associate Pastor of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.

It is my personal wish for each one who visits this site to be encouraged in their walk with Christ or if you are not a Christian to be introduced to this Saviour who has captivated us with His wonder. The Story we tell, in song, is the ancient story of a King who left His Throne to seek and to save that which was lost. That quest was climaxed by an awful torture on a Roman tree and then three days later...resurrection from the grave. Why was He tortured? Because He came to be the ransom for my sin and He alone was pure enough to be the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. What about this resurrection? Death could not hold Him...His resurrection...the proof that His Father accepted His sacrifice, His blood...for His people's sin. What a Story...and yet the only ones who will believe it are those who have been enabled by God's Spirit to do so. Has God's Spirit moved upon you? Is your life one of purposeful obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ? The ministry of Stubborn Love is to share this Story, hoping all the while that the Lord, by His Spirit, would take His Word, laced in these songs, and do a work of grace in the hearts of those who listen. May the Lord meet with you as you browse these pages.
